Editorial Policy: How We Use AI and Check Our Picks

AskedTheAI uses AI models as sources and a human editor as the gatekeeper. The models suggest products. The editor decides what gets published, checks it against Amazon and takes responsibility for it.

What are our editorial rules?

Every page says how it was made

A label under each headline says whether the page is an AI Panel page or a Review Research page. AI Panel pages also show the date we asked the models.

AI picks are reported, not rewritten

On AI Panel pages, product picks and reasons come from the models' own answers. We archive the raw answers. We summarize for length but never change which product a model picked or how it ranked it.

A human checks every product before we link to it

Our editor confirms each product exists on Amazon.com, ships in the US and has no active recall. Products that fail are removed and the page says so.

No invented evidence

We do not publish fake reviews, star ratings, review counts, test results or expert quotes. If we cite a statistic, we name the source and year.

Commissions do not decide the picks

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. The models never see our affiliate links, and no brand can pay for a spot.

Health and safety topics get extra care

For supplements, baby gear, medical devices and similar products, the page tells you to check with a qualified professional. An AI recommendation is not medical advice.

What is a Review Research page?

Guides published before September 2026 use the Review Research format. They were built from Amazon customer reviews and owner write-ups and summarized by our editor. When one of these pages says owners found a product quiet or durable, that finding comes from those reviews, not from our research. We are re-running popular guides through the AI Panel and will switch their label when we do.

How do we handle corrections?

Email notes@askedtheai.com with the page and the problem. We check every report. Wrong facts are fixed and the page's updated date changes. If a product is recalled or discontinued, we remove it.
